I only buy phones that are carrier unlocked. It's usually not a difficult process to unlock it, and it's usually quick. But the owner of the phone has to do it. I made this page to try and make the process easier.

Is my iPhone Carrier Locked?

Go to settings, and then click, General, and then About. If "Carrier Lock" says "No SIM restrictions", your iPhone is unlocked. Otherwise, you'll need to unlock it.
